Personal Information Protection Guidelines
In accordance with the principles of the Personal Information Protection Law and recognizing appropriate handling of personal information as part of its corporate social responsibility, Saki Corporation (the “Company”) will protect personal information adhering to the following basic guidelines.
1. Definition of Personal Information
Personal information means information about individual customers that could lead to their personal identification, including but not limited to their names, telephone numbers and company names. It also includes some kinds of information that could lead to personal identification if compared with other kinds of information.
2. Acquisition of Personal Information
The Company will acquire personal information specifying the purposes of use, to the extent necessary and using fair and legal means.
3. Purpose of Use
The Company will utilize personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. If it should become necessary to utilize personal information beyond such extent, the Company will seek consent regarding such utilization unless stipulated by law.
4. Management of Personal Information
The Company will appoint a person responsible for the management of personal information and will appropriately manage all personal information by preventing and correcting all illegal accesses, losses, destruction, falsifications and leaks.
5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Company will not provide any personal information to third parties unless previously consented to or stipulated by law. If it is necessary to provide personal information to third parties because of a business consignment, the Company will bind the consignee to manage such information appropriately and give it proper supervision and guidance.
If a person makes a complaint about his/her personal information or requests its disclosure or correction, the Company will first confirm the identity of the person and then take appropriate measures without delay.
7. Compliance and Improvement
The Company will comply with laws and ordinances and other regulations, develop company regulations for appropriate handling of personal information, conduct education and training, regularly review and continuously improve its approaches and revise these guidelines to reflect such review and improvement.
